At Jackson's school, they have a program called "Character Counts," which rewards the students for demonstrating good character. Their main categories to be rewarded are: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Citizenship, and Caring. So far this year, Jackson has been rewarded twice from his teacher Ms Douma for being super responsible! After they get a "Character Counts" slip, they put it in the bucket in the office and every so often they do a drawing for a winner. Jackson won today!! He came home so proud in his winner's T-Shirt and certificate.
I really wanted to get a picture of him holding his certificate and wearing his shirt, so we both went to the basement where the camera was to get his photo. And....klunk klunk klunk!! He totally biffed it, rolling down the entire flight of stairs until I finally caught him at the bottom! The first photo of him sitting is when he "couldn't use his broken legs yet to stand." Then the last photo is of us re-creating rolling down the stairs, in black and white (for effect, of course!!) If you're wondering why our lips are super red, it's because we stopped for a celebratory Icee on the way home from school!
