These are pictures from our first update while Birtukan was still in the orphanage, taken at the end of January 2010. The picture of her kicking the ball with a little boy is her friend Bereket Johnson. He is also the boy pouring the pitcher of water, while Birtukan is in the background of that picture. Oh yah - he's in the background of her putting a sweater on, too. They must have been best buds! ;-)

Hey Jill! In the third photo, the little guy in the orange shirt with stripes is our son, Simon Kebebe. Just thought you'd like to have that info! Thinking of you and hoping that each day gets easier for you and especially your daughters!
