Ethiopian Orphanages

Here's some photos I found from some orphanages in Ethiopia, and also some children that live Ethiopian towns and villages.

Yezelalem Minch

Yezelalem Minch is an Ethiopian organization administered by Ethiopian staff to reach out to children orphaned by AIDS. The Amharic name means “Never-ending Spring” from the Old Testament passage of Isaiah 58:10, 11 “If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed...The Lord will guide you always; you will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.”

The project has grown from two children in 2001 to more than 350 children currently. Yezelalem Minch seeks to provide the following:

• A network of support for community families caring for orphans
• Basic physical need of the children, (food, clothing, medical care)
• Educational opportunities, (school fees and uniforms, enrichment activities)

There are many children associated with Yezelalem Minch that still need sponsorship to be able to attend school and have their basic needs met. Sponsorship is $30/month, and by sponsoring a child through this program, you very well might be sponsoring our future child and be a part of keeping them healthy during this time.
