The last couple days have been very stressful for me!! We have just learned through rumors that Ethiopia is now requiring adoptive families to be present for the court date in Ethiopia, requiring two trips for families. This will greatly increase costs to families. There are some good things to this, such as the kids being able to come home on a different type of VISA that will make the transition in the US legally a little easier. But I'm sure there will be many glitches to work out in their new unraveling requirements.
We just received word that this will affect people with court dates starting on April 9th. Right now ours is tomorrow, March 12th. Please pray we pass the first time, and that this will not affect us! Also please pray for Kari, that she will pass tomorrow too, and we will stay on track for traveling together. Also for all of the people with referrals right now that are not assigned court dates, that they will be able to get in before the double travel is required!
