It's now 12:00. Hop on the interstate.....and take the very next exit to stop for lunch. Yes, we made it far! We went to Burger King and the kids got the new Apple Fries, which they both loved! Crowns in tow, we're now off again!
Time for gameboy! Jackson loves to play gameboy while traveling, and it keeps the backseat quiet for a while, so I'm all for it. However, he needs to change games every 5 minutes which gets a little annoying. So Mike and I deem it "Official Quiet Time" in the car and time to put gameboy away since it's causing game-changing controversy. What's that? A Burger King crown flying from the back seat into Mike's face while he's driving. So we take the next exit so I can have a 'talk' with Jackson. We get back into the car and we're off again! This time with Maddie awake from the commotion.
We get into Kansas City around 4:00 pm at Grandma and Grandpa Wald's house. The kids are super wild from being trapped in the car all day, and only want to run and be wild. So what better place to go, but the "wild" of The Rainforest Cafe? What a great idea! The kids absolutely love it there, and Jackson's super excited to see all the animals. Until the thunderstorm and elephant stampede. Maddie freaks out, and screams the rest of the time there. Apparently it scared the 'corn' out of her *ahem* as she leaks a gooey diaper all over Grandma Katie's hand.
When we get back home, Maddie goes straight to bed while everyone else stays up for Jackson's birthday cake that Grandma Katie made - delicious! Of course, Jackson wanted to eat about 19 pieces of cake.

After Jackson goes to bed, the adults stay up to play our new favorite card game Quiddler. During the game, we all hear a KABOOM that sounded like a shot gun (according Katie and me), fireworks (according to Jeff), or a bomb (according to Mike). Although if it were a bomb, I'd think there would have been fire. And when we asked what direction it came from, we each pointed in a different direction. So we're quite possibly all deaf! Or just really tired.Off to bed, to get ready for another fun-filled day.
