And The Home Study Begins
We finished the formal application and sent that back. We also filled out our papers for the criminal background check, mailed the request for Mike's birth certificate, and received a letter back from the Insurance company for us to give to BCS for proof of insurance. I also was contacted by our social worker to start our home study visits. So far the visits are November 25th and December 3rd. Our last home study visit will be in our home and not at the office, and we haven't picked a date for that yet. And honestly, I'm kind of nervous to commit to a last date right now, because we are going to have a huge amount of money due at that visit. (Anyone have $10 grand they're not using????) Haha. *Serious* :-P

Congrats on starting the HS process. That's a big hurdle to cross. Be sure to apply for every single bit of financial assistance for your adoption! And you can do fundraisers too. A bunch of us did those!! God will provide. Even when we felt like a doubting Thomas...He still provided!
God will provide all that you need! How exciting that you are forging ahead on this new and exciting journey!!! Yay!!!
Home study visits and criminal background checks, yikes. They'd probably take my cats away from me. You'll do fine, unless Maddie decides to decapitate "sp" any more dollies.
We'll have to do a sweep through the house to make sure no dolls are tied up or headless before our social worker sees anything crazy!! Haha
